2019 marks 10 years of staging homes in the Bay Area!

This year we celebrate our 10th year of business since launching in 2009!  In our humble beginnings, we would hunt furniture on Craigslist and yard sales, hire day laborers off of Cesar Chavez and use inventory from Heather and Steve's house.  Oftentimes, Steve would come home from his law office to find a home empty of furniture except for the bed he and Heather would sleep on. We would do whatever needed to make the job look great, including sawing a couch in half and re-attaching it once it was moved through a tight doorway! We still value this work ethic and having our business grow to what it is today is a credit to those early years and our commitment to make every house we work on shine.

This month we highlight 3 staged San Francisco properties:

3075 24th Ave (San Francisco)

Carol Reen at Compass lists this 5 bedroom/4 bath beauty located in the Stonestown district at 3075 24th Ave, with over 2,500 sq ft detached 2-story, single family home with family room, wet bar, Spanish- Mediterranean tiles, 5 skylights, back yard and 2 car garage.

2238 36th Ave (San Francisco)

Tal Klein Realty lists this large 2 bdrm/1.5 bath remodeled Parkside home with outdoor space and oversized undeveloped ground level at 2238 36th Avenue. This home has great potential to expand, large backyard and is located near the ocean and adjacent to sunset parkway.

341 Avila Street (San Francisco)

Ron Sebahar with Compass lists this beautiful 5 bedroom/3 bath home in the Marina district located at 341 Avila Street. This home boasts outdoor space, 2 extra rooms, 1 car garage, living and dining rooms, renovated kitchen with custom cabinetry and much more. With a great location, this home will go fast and was a lot of fun for us to stage.

Sage Sayde Says…

Question:

My living room is decorated exclusively with neutral colors. The intention was to make the room serene and calm with everything off-white, cream and beige. I was told that these colors create a more elegant and high-end interior theme.

Fast forward 5 years, and I simply find my living room boring, plain and uninspired. I’m dying to give the room a face-lift with some bright and energetic colors, but the process feels a little intimidating. I don’t want to make mistakes and end up with a room that looks juvenile. Please help!

Sage Sayde says:

I love color. I can’t bare to be in a boring, BLAH, beige room. I agree its time for an update for the most important room in your house!

Colorful decorating accents are a great way to add life and express yourself. I recommend you choose one strong color to integrate into your neutral room. Start with an accent wall, bright rug, throw pillows, club chairs or art…..update around 30% of the room with your chosen color.

Sticking to one color, (different shades are fine), will prevent the space from being too busy or overwhelming. I would choose PINK and use accents in fuchsia, blush and cotton candy shades. You can keep the look sophisticated by blending the colored items with your neutral bases. Here are some fantastic examples to inspire you. Please don’t hesitate to decorate with color. You will love the energy it brings to your home!

The photos below are great examples of fabulous living rooms that stick with one bright color. (Source: Pinterest)
